SCIT Goes International With SAP Workshop!
What do you look for when you enter the MBA in Symbiosis in relatively niche business management programs like the
MBA in ITBM? Is it the academic ambience of the best IT B schools? Well, there are plenty of things that you have to
consider. A good program structure,
industry interface and great faculty are some of the first things to come to
the mind when you want to go for an MBA in ITBM. Well, the faculty is crucial
to the success of the program. In fact, at Symbiosis
Institutes, the faculties are given equal importance in terms of pursuing
additional qualifications, research, etc. This rule is applicable to the full
time MBA in Pune as well as the part
time MBA options available under the Symbiosis
Institutes banner. At SCIT, one of the leading IT B schools under the Symbiosis banner, the faculties are
actively involved in projects and research. This keeps them connected to the
latest developments of the industry and also helps in incorporating the latest
and most effective techniques in their teaching as well.
It is difficult to find such a dynamic
academic environment in the IT B schools
as most of them are unable to support their faculty to such an extent. As a
result of this, the program suffers. Due to the lack of exposure and innovative
initiatives, faculties are unable to update the business management program. Students entering such MBA programs tend to be at a major loss
in terms of knowledge gained and the industry interface that happens. However,
the situation at SCIT is very different. The dynamicity of the curriculum
ensures that the faculties are given opportunities to pursue their research,
projects, etc. In fact, faculties are also seen assisting students in key
industry projects.
In
line with this tradition of giving fair opportunities to faculties as well as,
Symbiosis Institutes has always taken immense pride in the achievements of its
faculties. Recently, Prof. SVK Bharathi helped take the learning endeavors by
SCIT to the next level by conducting the workshop on SAP GBI in the first week
of August. The workshop was organized SAP UA Singapore and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale
Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), Mongolia. This is not the first of its kind achievement
by the SCIT faculty. Ever since its first day of inception SCIT has been
encouraging the faculties to pursue their academic interests in the IT domain.
After all, their knowledge and achievement are an addition to the institute’s
existing list of accolades.
Later in August,
Dr. R. Raman and Prof. S. Vijayakumar Bharathi also conducted a case study
session on "ERP Implementation at KPCPL: A Dead End or a Road Ahead"
at IIM Rohtak for PGPM Term IV students of ERP. These gradual efforts of the
faculty to keep learning the multiple facets of the IT industry materializes in
the form of better academic training for
the students as well.
